If you’re trying to create a more ethical skincare and makeup collection for yourself, you may be considering purchasing vegan and cruelty free beauty products. Here at Elizabeth Mott, we’ve always been certified cruelty-free, meaning none of our products were tested on animals. We’ve recently come out with some fully vegan products, which means that none of the ingredients were animal by-products, and they’re still cruelty-free of course! What benefits can you gain from vegan and cruelty-free beauty products? And are they better for your skin? Lets cover all the different benefits, and what products you should use if you want to use more cruelty-free products in your routine.
Vegan ingredients are more nutrient-dense
The main benefit that you’ll notice right away when seeing if vegan products treat your skin better, is the fact that plant based products are more nutrient-dense. They are more likely to get your skin the nutrients and vitamins it needs easier, because the ingredients are coming directly from the plant itself. Because of this, you may see improvement in your skin and how it reacts to vegan products faster than with non-vegan products. Using plant based products also allows for you to avoid any ingredients you might not know much about, which can reduce your risk of allergic reaction to these products. These ingredients might also be better if you’re a person who is prone to skin sensitivity issues.
What vegan products should I try?
There are so many vegan products out there, but if you’re looking to revamp your skincare routine to be more generally caring about the animals, your body, and our beautiful planet, try out our new skincare line. We love our Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Toner for helping to strip away any nasties from your skin, and our new Vitamin C Face Scrub is incredible at helping you to cleanse your skin in a way that brings all the essential vitamins you need to the table (in a cruelty-free way of course!). All of our makeup brushes are also fully vegan, using synthetic fibers to make our bristles.
What are some more benefits of vegan beauty products?
Using vegan products can benefit more than just your skin. Vegan ingredients tend to be better for our planet, since they take less land to grow. You can also always rest-assured when you buy vegan products that your skincare routine is not causing harm to any animals, both in testing the products, and creating the products themselves.
